One group of individuals living in South Carolina were having such a difficult time coping with life and all of the major tragedies that it has to offer. There was a very brave patriarch in this family who spent all of his days working hard to keep things going. This father was unable to make enough money to save the family's farm no matter how many jobs he worked.
The wife of this family also mended clothing for friends and neighbors around the county in order to help out with money. Even their children took on odd jobs in order to help their parents. Even though everyone was trying their best to bring in funds things were still not good enough. The local bank had already turned them down for a loan several times and this made the dad even more disappointed.
All seemed so hopeless as the days of the week went slowly by but this Christian family tried to hold onto their faith. They attended church on a regular basis and their pastor said a special prayer for this group of five who were trying so hard. He would call them all to the altar every Sunday and they would kneel before this Christian man.
The service seemed very inviting to all of them and it really uplifted their spirits a great deal after each sermon was over. On a cold winter evening this group of individuals were enjoying quality time together at home when a stranger came to their door. He was a kind looking man who was in need of a telephone because of his car troubles.
When he ended his telephone conversation the mistress of this household invited him to have a hot cup of coffee. He agreed to stay a little while longer and during that time everyone told him about their trouble with the farm. They also took the time to discuss their financial situation in great detail.
This new man sat quietly as each member informed him about their job. They all seemed to be quite frustrated to him but he knew that this would only be temporary. He felt a great deal of compassion for these individuals and could see that they all had good hearts. He talked to them for a good while and insisted that things would work out.
